For the second year in a row, the Dandenong High Performing Arts Department presented an annual production that was an updated classic play with additional musical & dance performances.
Last year we presented Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing set in the 1920s, this year we present 17th century French playwright Moliere’s The Miser in the 1950s.
For seven months around 60 Dandenong High Drama, Dance and Music students and staff rehearsed tirelessly every week and even over the holidays to make sure the show was up to the incredibly high standard expected.
With big cartoon-like characters portrayed by our Drama students, dynamic dance routines presented by our Dance students & catchy Rock ‘n’ Roll classics like: ‘Rock Around The Clock’ & ‘Shout’ played brilliantly by our house band, the show in the end was a huge success with audience numbers growing from last year.
Thanks to everyone who supported the production. We can’t wait to get started on next year.
Thanks also to Ms Sheridan Ford for the photos that are presented here and in the link below.
