2019 VCE RESULTS
The class of 2019 have successfully transitioned from High School into a broad range of career destinations beyond secondary school, including university, TAFE, apprenticeships and employment. Congratulations to the 96% of students who received an offer for further study at University or TAFE. With TAFE now offering clear pathways into University with credit (no additional study time required), 43% of students have selected this pathway and will benefit from hands on learning and more supported class contact. 57% of students will transition directly into Bachelor level degrees at University in a range of interest areas. Some of the most popular study fields are Nursing and Health, as well as Business and Commerce.
From our cohort of 312; 17 students have chosen to enter the workforce and have secured jobs and 10 students have commenced apprenticeships in a range of trades, including Building, Electrical and Automotive. The Careers and Pathways team are continuing to work with a small number of students still seeking further study or employment and offer assistance with resume writing, interview skills, job seeking and tertiary study application.
Dandenong High School extends congratulations to the class of 2019 as they begin the next stage in building their own personalised and exciting futures. We also invite each student to continue to keep in touch and seek assistance from the Careers team at any time in their future journey.
