Banksia House is a bright and fun place to learn. A House where all staff and students are given every opportunity to achieve their best, encouraged to work together and to assist each other in learning. All members of the House show care and concern for each other, enjoy learning and contributing to Banksia, as well as the whole school community. Banksia House benefits from having excellent student leaders who set high standards and provide support for their peers and staff.
Students in Banksia House are enthusiastically involved in a range of school activities that support their development. Banksia House has achieved great success in the House Competitions with winning efforts in both the Athletics and Swimming competition and have performed very well in the Chorals competition. In each of these activities student success has relied on teamwork, participation and support for their peers.
In a house as friendly and as welcoming as Banksia, we expect nothing less than a safe and amiable environment where all students can feel comfortable and can aim to achieve their best. As Banksia House Captains, we aim for excellence in our studies. Students are given countless opportunities to express themselves not only academically but in other aspects such as Athletics, Swimming carnival and Chorals on competitive level.
One of our main priorities is to assure that all students feel as if they belong in this house. We are a family; no voice will be left unheard, no student will be left alone, all students in this house belong in the Banksia family.
The results of house events is another priority this year. As a house, if we come together and support each other, not only will we strengthen the bond of our relationships, we will be able to have a successful year. It is an honour to represent our house as the Banksia House Captains.
